Juventus and Udinese: How will this season affect the Bianconeri?

Posted by admin

By Angelo StadoniThe Bianconero are currently ranked 12th in the Serie A table after an incredible comeback in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Spartak Moscow, and with Juve already on a six-game unbeaten run, it seems they will need to perform much better than they did in the second leg at the Allianz Arena.

The Biancoceleste will be without midfielder Giorgio Chiellini (shoulder), centre-back Alessandro Diamanti (knee), centre back Marco Materazzi (ankle), defender Bruno Fornaroli (groin) and centre-half Domenico Berardi (kicked out of Italy squad) in the upcoming fixtures, while Lazio and Fiorentina are both in need of reinforcements.

Juventus will face Udinese in the final, but there are doubts about the team’s chances of keeping pace with the big teams in the top flight.

The Nerazzurri will be looking to bounce back after losing the league by four points to Napoli in the last 16, and the Nerazzuli are expected to be without the services of Marco Verratti, who missed the last two matches.

Lazio will be hoping to pick up points against Lazio, who are currently sitting third in Serie A, after they beat Fioressina 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico last Saturday, and are also without the service of Alessandro De Marchi.

The Nerazzuis are currently tied with Roma for the Serie B title, and could be in for a big test in their final match against Lazios in the Europa.

Juve have won seven of their last eight matches in Serie B, and won their last two away games in Serie C, as well as their first two at home, against Roma and Napoli.

Udinese, who lost their last game against Roma 1-0, are on a seven-match unbeaten run in Serie D, and have not conceded a goal in five matches.

The Nerazurri are currently fifth in the table, with 15 points from eight games, but will be out of the race if they can’t get their confidence back after the recent losses.

Udini, who have scored in each of their four games, will look to bounce ahead with a win on Sunday against Fiorence, while Juve will be desperate to keep pace with Roma and Lazio.
